Tips & How-To's

Absolutely Delicious
When you're craving something cool, add ice cream or sorbet to your favoirite Sara Lee dessert. You can go way beyond vanilla with these fun, fruity flavor combinations:
-
Pound cake goes tropical when you add a scoop of mango sorbet. Add flavor and color with a handful of berries or sliced kiwi!
-
Cinnamon and apples go hand-in-hand. Top a freshly-baked apple pie with cinnamon ice cream. Add a sprinkle of chopped pecans for extra crunch. If you don’t have cinnamon ice cream on hand, make your own: soften a scoop of vanilla ice cream in the microwave. Stir in ¼ teaspoon of ground cinnamon and serve.
-
Make an updated banana split with pound cake. Top a slice of pound cake with a scoop of Neapolitan ice cream (chocolate/vanilla/strawberry) and finish with a generous helping of sliced banana and a few chopped peanuts.
-
If you’re not big on fruit, try pairing mint chocolate chip ice cream and a drizzle of chocolate liqueur with chocolate layer cake.
